Johanna Jimenez is a legal researcher and analyst at Eagle Law and will soon graduate with her JD from the University of Ottawa. Throughout her law studies, Johanna has been involved in practical experiences in criminal law through internships with both defence and Crown attorneys.
Since 2011, she has worked on Indigenous rights and policy advocacy domestically and internationally, focusing on women’s rights, climate change, access and benefit sharing, protection of traditional knowledge, and land claims. She graduated top of her class with a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion, and later obtained a master’s degree in Health Research Design and Methodology from the University of Western Ontario. Johanna is originally from Colombia and moved to Canada in 2002.
